Community Guidelines

Last updated: March 2026

Grupeta is a community of local cyclists who share rides, compete on segments, and find riding partners. These guidelines keep the community welcoming and safe for everyone.

Be Respectful

  • Treat every rider with courtesy, regardless of ability level
  • No harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks
  • No hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or disability
  • Constructive feedback is welcome; insults are not

Keep It Honest

  • Only upload genuine activity data from rides you actually did
  • Do not fabricate, manipulate, or alter FIT/GPX files to gain leaderboard positions
  • Do not use motorised vehicles to record cycling activities
  • Do not impersonate other riders or create fake accounts

Appropriate Content

  • No sexually explicit or graphic violent content
  • No spam, advertising, or self-promotion unrelated to cycling
  • No sharing of other people's personal information without consent
  • Activity photos and captions should be relevant to cycling
  • Keep language appropriate for a general audience

Safety First

  • Do not encourage dangerous riding behaviour
  • Exercise caution when meeting riding partners from the app
  • Meet in public places for first rides with new partners
  • Share your ride plans with someone you trust

Reporting and Moderation

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the in-app report feature (long-press on any comment, or use the report option on activities and profiles). All reports are reviewed and appropriate action is taken, which may include content removal, warnings, or account suspension.

Content is also screened by automated moderation tools to detect policy violations. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • Removal of the offending content
  • A warning on your account
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations
